Those who practice intermittent fasting benefit from a number of health benefits. This can include weight loss, increased insulin sensitivity, and decreased inflammation. In addition, it can help to combat age-related diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Intermittent fasting has been shown to benefit cardiovascular health. Research has shown that it can reduce cholesterol levels, improve insulin sensitivity, and decrease blood pressure. In addition, it can help people with diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and neurological diseases. Those who practice intermittent fasting may also reduce the negative side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Fasting can increase autophagy, which is a process that your body uses to remove dead or damaged cells. Increased autophagy may help protect your brain from age-related diseases. It is also thought that fasting can reduce inflammation, thereby reducing blood sugar levels.

Intermittent fasting has also been shown to reduce the size of tumors in animals. It can also increase the body’s resistance to oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is a condition in which the free radicals in the body are out of balance with the antioxidants. When free radicals are too high, they can cause chronic illnesses.

Intermittent fasting also increases the production of BDNF, which is a protein that helps to grow new brain  It has also been shown to increase the production of ketones, which have anti-inflammatory properties.

Intermittent fasting has also shown to benefit people who struggle with weight loss. It can help those with type 2 diabetes by reducing blood sugar levels.
