2021 Hindi movies is going to be a very good year for all the fans of the genre. There are many amazing movies coming out this year. Some of them are Sherni, Sooryavanshi, Bhuj, Sardar Ka Grandson and more.
Sherni
If you are looking for a movie that can make you think about the state of nature, you should look at Sherni. This is a movie that makes a case for preserving nature, and that is not something you usually see in Bollywood films. Its story also explores how Homo sapiens have a complicated relationship with nature.
Amit Masurkar directed the film, which is co-produced by Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. The movie is set in Madhya Pradesh, and its plot revolves around a man-eating tigress. Vidya Balan plays the forest officer who is on a mission to catch the tiger.
While the movie is a thriller, it’s also a commentary on human-animal conflict. In one scene, a local politician interrupts a street play on love and peace. He spouts violent rhetoric against tigers.
Despite its satirical approach, the movie is actually quite thoughtful. The film explores the relationship between man and nature and the absurdities of the Indian bureaucracy. There are also some interesting characters, and the film leaves you with an unsettling truth about systemic corruption.
Despite its flaws, Sherni is an exciting, thought-provoking film. With an excellent cast and a powerful script, it’s a film that offers food for thought.
Vidya Balan delivers a convincing portrait of persistence in the face of adversity. Vincent goes about her job with confidence and tact, but she has to fight a number of obstacles.
Sooryavanshi
Rohit Shetty’s cop-based film universe includes Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba. This latest film stars Akshay Kumar. He plays the lead cop in Sooryavanshi.
The film opens on 10 December, 2021. It is the first collaboration between Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar. In this film, Veer “Surya” Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar) is a cop and the chief of the Anti-Terrorist Squad in Mumbai.
Riyaaz Hafeez, son of Lashkar chief Omar Hafeez, has formed a sleeper cell of 40 terrorists and plans to conduct more bombings. Bilal Ahmed seeks refuge in POK with dreaded terrorist Omar Hafeez.
Sooryavanshi is one of the most popular Bollywood movies released this year. But it was slammed for promoting Islamophobia. A Washington Post article said the film is rife with pernicious stereotypes about Muslims.
According to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, the release of Sooryavanshi was a welcome sign of the end of a dry period for Indian cinema. The Federation represents 31 unions of film and television workers.
Though Shetty has directed several cop films, his latest cop drama is a departure from his past works. Instead of having Hindu villains, the filmmaker has created a simplistic narrative about a good Muslim and a bad Muslim.
This cliched narrative is accompanied by scenes of police brutality and gleeful jingoism. OpIndia, which backed the project, called the film a “highlight” of the dangers of Islamic terrorism.
Radhe
Radhe is a new 2021 Hindi movies featuring Salman Khan. It is an action film based on the Korean hit The Outlaws. Besides Salman, the cast includes Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff.
In this film, Mumbai is in the grip of a drug mafia. A ruthless gangster, Rana, is a leading light in the local drug trade. He sells drugs to school children, and also murders people who don’t pay back their loans.
Mumbai police are concerned with the drug problem. They send an undercover cop, called Radhe, to investigate the nefarious gang. However, the cop is suspended. When Radhe returns, he meets a woman, Diya Abhyankar. During the course of their encounter, Radhe discovers that her sister is a senior officer in the Mumbai police.
Diya slowly grows to love Radhe. She even tries to get him to join the male modelling business.
However, things don’t go as planned. One of Dada’s men tells Radhe that Dilawar’s brother, Mansoor, is involved in the drug trade. Despite this information, Radhe persuades Mansoor to join his cause. But the duo haven’t quite won the war.
As the film progresses, the police learn that two gangs are active in the area. Both gangs have their own methods of working, and both are at loggerheads with each other.
In addition to the main storyline, the film also has a few songs. Some of the tunes are composed by Sajid-Wajid, while the music score is composed by Ankit Balhara.
Sardar Ka Grandson
Sardar Ka Grandson is a Hindi movie starring Arjun Kapoor and Neena Gupta. This film is set in 1947 and it is inspired by a real life story. The story is about a man who waited 70 years to see his ancestral home in Lahore.
It is a feel good movie with a touch of romance. However, it appears to be lacking in originality. While the movie has some good ideas, it also has some bad ones.
The premise of the movie is that Amreek Singh is the grandson of Amrita Singh. Amreek adores his grandmother, Sardar, but he has never visited her home in Lahore. When Sardar is diagnosed with a cancerous tumour, Amreek plans to go back to her homeland. He is accompanied by his girlfriend, Radha.
When he reaches Pakistan, he faces a number of roadblocks along the way. After making his way into the country, Amreek meets his grandfather. He promises to help him make his wish come true.
Despite his best efforts, his plan seems to fall flat. Although the film has a few memorable moments, it fails to deliver. Even though it is a feel-good movie, it tries to do too many things at once.
The movie is directed by Kaashvi Nair. She has co-written the screenplay with Amitosh Nagpal. They have also enlisted the services of music composer Tanishk Bagchi. Their soundtrack features some nice song titles.
99 Songs
The new Indian movie titled 99 Songs is a musical romance film. It’s written and directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy and produced by A. R. Rahman, an Oscar-winning composer. Featuring Ehan Bhat, Aditya Seal, and Lisa Ray, it will release in Hindi and Tamil.
The story of the film revolves around a young man named Jay (Ehan Bhat) who has the ability to compose music. As a young boy, he tries to compose a tune that will stop the world from spinning. But his father’s request for 100 songs confuses him. He goes to Shillong to complete the challenge. There, he meets Sheela, a seductive woman. However, his father doesn’t believe that she is suitable for Jay.
The music is performed by a variety of musicians, including A. R. Rahman, whose score is a combination of riffs and piano. This soundtrack album is Rahman’s first production venture. In addition, it marks his debut as a producer and writer.
Originally, 99 Songs was slated to hit theatres on 21 June 2019. However, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, it was released on OTT platforms in India on May 21.
Since then, the film’s release was pushed back. Nevertheless, the film premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival. It is a musical romance film, which revolves around a music-loving aspiring musician.
Though the music of the film is not impressive, the visuals are beautiful. The scenes are shot like a music video, with minimal dialogue and sleek production design. These features help the music to stand out.
Bhuj
Ajay Devgn may be a tad overrated in the hors d’être department but he is a true show stopper when it comes to the ladies. The foxy has a knack for making his ladies feel like queens in a kings palace. He also has a knack for putting a kink in their hair as shown in the accompanying gif. For this reason he gets the adornment of the pack.
To this day he has yet to show us a single dummy that has not at least a bit of his schtum. As a result it is hard to say that Bhuj hasn’t been in his good graces for too long. That said he does have the best luck of any of his competitors. With that in mind, I’ll let him ride the train in the near future. Of course, he may have a hard time keeping his hands to himself if he has to take on the baton in the next round. Regardless, he is a true show stopper and will be for years to come. If he has a stroke of luck, we’re sure to hear his name screamed at the drop of a hat in the near future.
